FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) – USwapX
USwapX is a peer-to-peer platform that connects individuals to buy, sell, or rent second-hand items in an eco-friendly and sustainable way.
Anyone of legal age (or a minor with parental consent) can create an account to post, sell, rent, or search for items.
Mainly clothing, accessories, books, everyday items, or things for occasional use (e.g., evening dresses, event decorations, equipment).
All items must be in good condition, clean, and as described.
The renter books the item on the platform and pays the rental amount plus any required deposit.
The item is then shipped or handed over in person.
After use, it must be returned on time and in its original condition.
The deposit is released once the lessor confirms the item’s proper return.
It may be partially or fully withheld in case of delay, loss, or damage.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe or PayPal.
They are held by a secure payment provider until the buyer or renter confirms receipt, then released to the seller or lessor.
Sales between individuals are not subject to statutory withdrawal rights.
A return is only possible if the item is not as described or if the seller/lessor agrees voluntarily.
In such cases, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer or renter, and the USwapX commission charged on the transaction will not be refunded.
For rentals, specific conditions apply (see our Shipping and Refund Policy).

Report it via your account within 48 hours of receipt, including photos as evidence.
USwapX can assist with mediation between you and the seller/lessor.
By default, shipping costs are borne by the buyer or renter.
These costs are clearly displayed before checkout.
You can use the search bar or post a personalized request (“Looking for an item”) that other users can respond to.
When the item is shipped by a carrier, a tracking number is usually provided by the seller or via the USwapX logistics service.
You can find it in your account, under order details.
The seller is responsible for providing the tracking number when shipping the item directly.
If no tracking information is available or the shipment is delayed, contact the seller directly or reach out to USwapX Support.
If your order doesn’t arrive within the stated timeframe, first check the tracking information in your account.
If the seller fails to provide proof of shipment or if the package is lost, report the issue via the platform.
USwapX will step in to help resolve the matter or issue a refund when applicable

Yes. Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy (GDPR-compliant).
It is never sold to third parties, and you can request its deletion at any time.
USwapX applies a transparent commission on transactions (e.g., percentage displayed before payment) as well as any logistics fees if the USwapX shipping service is chosen.
All amounts are clearly shown before checkout.
